Firefighters visited the grammar schools during Fire Prevention Week to stress

the importance of fire safety. Topics covered were: 911, smoke detectors, 

"Stop, Drop, and Roll", testing a closed door for heat, fire drills, staging areas,

fire extinguishers, and "the firefighter is your friend". The firefighter turnout gear and 

SCBA were also demonstrated. Below are photographs of some of the classes.
