Open House Slide Show
The annual Fire Provention Week Open House was
held with
the apparatus and building available for the public's review.
The Firefighters were available to describe and answer
questions.
In addition, there was food and t-shirts on sale. The children
were
provided with games and other activities.
2009 Fire Prevention the
Red Robin Restaurant
An engine was on
display for a few hours at the Red Robin
Restaurant in the Promenade Shops during Fire Prevention Week.
Members of the Department responded to the shoppers questions.
SCBA Training and
Firefighter Rescue
SCBA training was conducted with the emphasis on firefighter
rescue. The training was conducted using masks with blackened
visor to simulate smoke filled buildings.
Ladder Training with Se-Wy-Co
Fire Co.
The Se-Wy-Co Fire Co. joined the USFD at our Lanark Station to
conduct ladder training. The training consisted of maneuvering,
set-up, and using ladders.

Prevention at
the Promenade Shops 2008
The Department displayed an engine at the Promenade Shops,
where we were hosted by Red Robin. Members of the Department
described various equipment on the pumper and conversed with the
shoppers.

Kid Safety Day
Kid Safety Day at the Promenade Shops,
8-18-07.
Family Fun Day 2006:
The USVFD displayed some of its equipment at the Upper
Saucon Township Family Fun Day in the Community Park.
The equipment was of interest to many, especially the children.
Some photos were taken at the event.
Parades:
The Department, on occasion, participates in Holiday
and neighboring Fire Department Celebration parades.
Some of these are judged for appearance and others
attended as a gesture of goodwill.
Fire
Prevention 2005:
The
Department this year again held demonstrations
and
discussions on fire safety at the grammar schools or had
the
students visit the fire station. Photographs of some of the
classes
are included..
